MEET THE FOUNDER
Michael Matos
Michael grew up in New York City public housing, where he learned early what it feels like when systems fail the people who need them most. That lesson never left him, it just kept finding new places to push him forward.
He carried it into the U.S. Coast Guard, where he spent over a decade conducting search and rescue operations, utilizing every resource available to find those in danger and bring them home. It taught him to work with urgency, to make decisions under pressure, and to measure success by whether someone made it home safely.
Today he channels that same instinct into Matos Ventures: building mission-driven companies that solve societal problems that you can own too.
